A Message from Co-Founder Ari Zucker

In 2007, Labor Day weekend, my brother Todd and I had an “idea”! It took us three years to formulate that “idea” and how it would be built, run, and executed. Two months after that, we filed for our 501 (C) 3 status with the IRS for that “idea”. We filed in November 2012.

Today, Monday March 31, 2014 is a glorious day! All the waiting, hoping, working hard and never giving up on running our camp, ARROW-HEART Adventure Camps is OFFICIALLY recognized by the IRS as a non-profit organization.

To some this may sound like a small feat, but for our team and everyone who has spent even just nickel on us to sponsor our organization or volunteer their time, WE could not have done it without you. I cried many tears today, many tears that were filled with fear, happiness and gratitude. The fear is for the responsibility of guiding our teens. The happiness is for the opportunity of moving forward and focusing on our next camp. The gratitude is for everyone who believed in us, but more importantly who believe that children are and always will be our strongest asset.

We have 13 teens that relied on our staff and our camp this year for guidance and hope for a better future. To me, that is everything. In fact, it’s more. This year proves we can conquer obstacles together. Today, we will not only conquer obstacles, but we will change the course of history for countless teens across the nation. Never give up in what you believe in. Yes, it is more difficult to take the road less traveled. Think beyond your circumstances and you will be sure to get there.

With love,

Arrow-Heart Adventure Camp Teens become Santa’s Helpers for Christmas!

The teens of Arrow-Heart Adventure camp were honored to join forces with other Weiser volunteers to help support the annual Weiser community “Ho Ho Express” program. The “Ho Ho Expres” transports between 100 and 150 under privileged children to Wal-Mart every year to purchase gifts for their family members. This year the Arrow-Heart Adventure Camp teens became Santa’s helpers, assisting the families with their holiday selections. Financial support for this program is funded from local donations every year with Hometown Motor’s as their major contributor.
