A Message from Co-Founder Ari Zucker

March 31, 2014

In 2007, Labor Day weekend, my brother Todd and I had an “idea”! It took us three years to formulate that “idea” and how it would be built, run, and executed. Two months after that, we filed for our 501 (C) 3 status with the IRS for that “idea”. We filed in November 2012.

Today, Monday March 31, 2014 is a glorious day! All the waiting, hoping, working hard and never giving up on running our camp, ARROW-HEART Adventure Camps is OFFICIALLY recognized by the IRS as a non-profit organization.

To some this may sound like a small feat, but for our team and everyone who has spent even just nickel on us to sponsor our organization or volunteer their time, WE could not have done it without you. I cried many tears today, many tears that were filled with fear, happiness and gratitude. The fear is for the responsibility of guiding our teens. The happiness is for the opportunity of moving forward and focusing on our next camp. The gratitude is for everyone who believed in us, but more importantly who believe that children are and always will be our strongest asset.

We have 13 teens that relied on our staff and our camp this year for guidance and hope for a better future. To me, that is everything. In fact, it’s more. This year proves we can conquer obstacles together. Today, we will not only conquer obstacles, but we will change the course of history for countless teens across the nation. Never give up in what you believe in. Yes, it is more difficult to take the road less traveled. Think beyond your circumstances and you will be sure to get there.

With love,

Arianne

Lynda Hirsch on Television

EXcerpt from Article

"Days of Our Lives" Shawn Christian (Daniel) has a new and improved Website: "People stole my name and I can't get it back, so shawnchristianofficial.com is now my official web site.

You can find clips and pictures. There is also news on everything I'm doing, from Arrowhead Adventure Camps [Arianne Zucker's new organization] to the Web series, 'Addicts Anonymous.' Anything I've done from 'As the World Turns' (Mike) to 'Days' is also on the site. It's a whirlwind of information."

As for ARROW-HEART, "Days of our Lives" and the Ken Corday Foundation have reaffirmed their commitment to making a difference in teen lives through a major sponsorship of $25,000 that just launched the ARROW-HEART Adventure Camps.

Arianne Zucker, two-time Emmy nominee, and her brother Todd Zucker are co-founders of ARROW-HEART. ARROW-HEART equips teens at a crossroads with the survival skills to build a sense of self-worth, take responsibility for their lives and ultimately become an asset in their communities.

"Our philosophy is to cultivate critical thinking skills through a character and team-building structure rooted in our six Cs: character, commitment, communication, critical thinking, credibility and compassion," said Todd Zucker.

"I believe mentorship through a challenging camp experience connects us to the simplicity of the outdoors while providing the opportunity to build a strong sense of self-worth. These kids are our future and with the encouragement of our camp it is our mission to inspire them to be productive members of a world community."

"Days of our Lives" and the Ken Corday Foundation sponsorship contributions go a long way towards meeting the $150,000 2013 fundraising goal of ARROW-HEART, which opened its doors on Sept. 28 in Weiser, Idaho. click here to read full article

Days Of Our Lives Stars Launch Arrow-Heart.

Wednesday, October 02 2013

Partnering for a cause.

"DOOL's" Arianne Zucker (Nicole) has partnered with her brother Todd Zucker to co-found Arrow-Heart, an outdoor adventure camp. The project is meant to equip teens at a crossroads with the survival skills and help them take responsibility for their lives so that they can become an asset in their communities. "Our philosophy is to cultivate critical thinking skills through a character and team building structure rooted in our six C's: character, commitment, communication, critical thinking, credibility and compassion," Todd Zucker explained.

For Arianne, the founding of the charity was an extension of her desire to make a difference in the lives of young people. "I believe mentorship through a challenging camp experience connects us to the simplicity of the outdoors while providing the opportunity to build a strong sense of self-worth. These kids are our future and with the encouragement of our camp it is our mission to inspire them to be productive members of a world community," she said.

Other members of the "DOOL" family have also become involved. Shawn Christian (Daniel) works on marketing and branding while The Ken Corday Foundation has offered a major sponsorship of $25,000. Arrow-Heart Adventure Camps currently have a $150,000 fundraising goal for 2013. For more about the camp, its mission and how you can help contribute, please visit Arrow-Heart.

Days of our Lives News

Days of our Lives' Arianne Zucker takes aim with Arrow Heart

Days of our Lives and the Ken Corday Foundation have reaffirmed their commitment to making a difference in teen lives through a major sponsorship of $25,000 that just launched the ARROW-HEART Adventure Camps.

Arianne Zucker, two time Emmy nominee, and her brother Todd Zucker are co-founders of ARROW-HEART. Through an exciting and challenging outdoor adventure camp experience ARROW-HEART equips teens at a crossroads with the survival skills to build a sense of self-worth, take responsibility for their lives, and ultimately, become an asset in their communities.

"Our philosophy is to cultivate critical thinking skills through a character and team building structure rooted in our six C's: character, commitment, communication, critical thinking, credibility and compassion," said Todd Zucker.

Arianne Zucker has played the role of Nicole Walker on Days of our Lives since 1998. The founding of ARROW-HEART with her brother Todd was the natural extension of her deep passion for making a difference in the lives of teens. Says Arianne: "I believe mentorship through a challenging camp experience connects us to the simplicity of the outdoors while providing the opportunity to build a strong sense of self-worth. These kids are our future and with the encouragement of our camp it is our mission to inspire them to be productive members of a world community."

The ARROW-HEART Adventure Camps team consists of:

· Arianne Zucker, Creator/ Co-Founder and CEO

· Todd Zucker, Creator/ Co-Founder and Board Vice-President/School Administrator

· Steve Fenske, Executive Director/ Board President/Law Enforcement

· Billie DeYoung, Board Treasurer/Accountant

· Shawn Christian, Marketing/Branding, Daniel Jonas/Days of Our Lives

· Philippe Van Den Bossche, Fundraising

Days of our Lives and the Ken Corday Foundation sponsorship contributions go a long way towards meeting the $150,000 2013 fundraising goal of ARROW-HEART, which opened its doors on September 28 in Weiser, Idaho.

During kick-off weekend, campers and ARROW-HEART team members also participated in an adventurous ropes course. Shawn Christian elaborates, "Watching these kids high in the air on the ropes course building a sense of trust in one another and us was an inspiring first day of camp." Arianne Zucker can be seen below about to make a daring leap.

Happy Campers--To kick off ARROW-HEART Adventure Camps, members of Wieser City Police and Washington County Sheriffs played a softball game with camp goers!

Happy Campers -- To kick off ARROW-HEART Adventure Camps, members of Wieser City Police and Washington County Sheriffs played a softball game with camp goers!

Arianne describes her experience—"This camp is incredible for everyone involved, including myself. I have a very big fear of heights and when I was up on the ropes course and felt I couldn't make the leap from the platform to the triangle bar all the kids were encouraging me to do it and I had only known them for an hour. If we can build this kind of team work within these teens in one day, imagine what we could do in ten months."

We're also happy to announce that Washington County is allowing juveniles on probation to fulfill community service hours at ARROW-HEART Adventure Camps.

The NEXT ADVENTURE for the ARROW-HEART teens involves a CROSS-BOW Fitness session, after which the campers will be challenged with the engineering of catapults for the PUMPKIN LAUNCH and a thrilling team building GHOST HUNTERS adventure.
