Shawn Christian

Shawn ChristianA native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Shawn Christian has enjoyed a successful and varied career as an actor, community leader and mentor. As a young man Shawn received the Congressional Medal of Merit for outstanding community and scholastic excellence. He was a junior camp counselor, captain of state ranked basketball and football teams, and has enjoyed a deep passion for camping since he was a child. After graduating from Michigan’s Ferris State University with a degree in Marketing, Shawn relocated to Chicago, where he honed his acting skills on stage with the improvisational company Improv Olympic. Shawn currently stars as Dr. Daniel Jonas on the NBC Emmy Award-Winning Daytime Drama “Days of Our Lives”.

He has taken on the multiple roles of writer, actor and Executive Producer in the mockumentary comedy “Addicts Anonymous”, a single-camera irreverent comedy about a college addiction program. He is also the Executive Producer on his latest project, and independent science fiction film “Spanners”, in which he plays the lead and also co-directs.

Shawn has experienced great success in both comedy and drama. He has appeared on “Friends” playing Jennifer Aniston’s hot-doctor. He played Lori Loughlin’s love interest in the WB hit “Summerland” and played opposite Jamie Gertz and Tyne Daly in the holiday favorite “Undercover Christmas”. He recently finished filming a guest star role on the ½ hour situational comedy “Melissa and Joey”. He stars opposite Chris Pine, Oscar nominee John Hawkes and Oscar winner Octavia Spencer in “Small Town Saturday Night” and co-stars with Lauren German in the off-beat indie film “Mating Dance”. His two latest scripts, a 1/2 comedy “Uncorked” and a small town hour drama “Carolina Blues” revolving around an up and coming female stock car racer are currently being shopped around. Shawn is currently acting as head of Marketing/Branding for ARROW-HEART Adventure Camps.
